When it comes to your faith and your purpose here do you have a plan to fulfill the Great Commission that Jesus left for us? Or maybe you don’t know where to start. I am sure every one of us has been there in our life. We have a task that is so big we don’t even know where to begin. I believe we serve an incredible God who had the biggest task of all, which was coming to save all humanity. He chose to do this in the most humble of beginnings, always knowing what it would take to defeat death and save us. The great I Am came with the end result being John 3:16, so that all who believe in Him, follow and live for Him, have the gift of eternal life with Him. So what is the end result for us as His people? That only we get to go to heaven? Or that we share that news for all? The Church is the presence of Christ in this world daily. The task may seem great, but as a body of believers we want to help each other and walk along side each other.
We as a staff have decided to start a blog to help our families with one of the greatest tasks we have; being first and foremost a disciple to our family. I will be focusing on Discipleship and our culture. Dean will be focusing on leadership tips and principles. Healthy leadership is crucial to healthy discipleship. Mel will be focusing on preparing our kids to become lights in a dark world. We want to encourage parents as we strive to “Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6. Heath will be focusing on students and families to build community, and grow to build His kingdom.”
